Decal Design

Create Your Custom Design -

The coolest part of becoming a SuperFan is that we can design custom decals to your specifications. Just send us your team logo or photos of your athletes in action along with any design specifications and we can design your decals for you. Send your logos, photos and instructions to info@superfanmailboxes.com and we will take care of the rest.
Don’t forget to include your contact information including; name, email address and phone number in case we have any questions.

 

 Decal Application Instructions

Preparation: If the decal does not contact a clean dry substrate, it will not stick well, leading to premature decal failure. If post cover has any loose dust or dirt on it simply wipe with a clean damp cloth. The final cleaning of the cover must be done immediately before applying decal. Dust and other contaminants can collect quickly on the post cover and prevent the decals from adhering properly. Be sure the post cover surface is thoroughly dry. Decals will adhere poorly even to a properly cleaned substrate if there is any remaining liquid on the post cover surface.

Applying the decal: Be sure to line up and place your decal properly as SuperFan product decals are meant to stay firmly in place once applied. Best method for decal application is as follows:

1. Remove entire decal backing.
2. Center decal and use your thumb to gently tack the center of the top edge of the decal in place.
3. Holding decal sides, make sure decal is properly aligned before pressing rest of decal in place.
4. Once satisfied with alignment, slowly press rest of the decal onto post cover starting from one side and moving to the opposite side working towards outside edge of the opposite side of decal.
5. Use firm pressure when applying to cover using overlapping strokes of fingertips or gently use a credit card as a squeegee.
6. For best results when smoothing decal, start in the center of the decal and work towards the outside edge. Always stroke the shortest distance to the edge of the decal. This helps prevent wrinkles.
7. We recommend that it be 32 degrees or warmer when applying the decals. You can choose to apply decals once post cover is mounted in place or indoors prior to mounting post cover on mailbox post.
8. For mounting 4” decals to your mailbox follow same directions for surface preparation and application.

SuperFan Image Copyright Guidelines

Please remember that when using action or other images for your SuperFan custom decals you must own the rights to the image(s). If you took the photograph that you are uploading then you own the rights. If the photograph was taken by someone else, you need permission from that person to use the photograph. If your photograph(s) were taken by a professional photographer he or she should be able to provide you with a release form. 

If you are using school or club logos you must have permission from the school or club you are ordering decals for. Booster clubs and organizations should have permission forms previously issued if you have produced other items such as signs, stickers, clothing, etc. We may request these permissions prior to processing your order.
